Makers' Marks
Click on the maker's name to see detailed information including location, time period, known workshops, pictures of marks, examples of maker's work, and additional facts / information about the maker. To qualify for this table the maker/mark must have been observed as the sole mark on a piece, have been observed accompanied by an artisan or shop mark, have been observed on a label/packaging, or have been noted in historical documentation. Makers are listed in alphabetical order according to either :
1) the romanised names/Latin initials by which they were known; or
2) the Wade-Giles romanised rendering of the Chinese characters if their names were only recorded in Chinese script.
The tabulation shown here will gradually expand as more contributions are received from collectors.
