This lesser known silversmith was located in Canton, a flourishing port/city in South China. Prior to the Treaty of Nanking (1842), export trade was confined to the port of Canton.

Not much is known about this very early maker. He used the lower case letter d and pseudo-English hallmarks as his mark. And is though to have worked in canton in the 2nd quarter of the 19th century.
