Maker Information:
The location and exact time period for Shan are unknown. He was most likely a working shop as this mark also appears on the pieces bearing the mark of KHC, HCH, and LOCK (it must be noted that it is currently unknown which or if any of these were the same Shan so exact dates and location can not be determined) He appears in this list because his mark has been observed as the sole mark on a piece. See Marlowe pg. 64

 Chinese characters reading "Shan" or "Shin"   Chinese characters reading "Shan" or "Shin" along with additional maker marks (i.e. KHC, HCH, etc.) 

Known workshop/artisan marks:
Shan was most likely a working shop (made and sold their own pieces out of their own shop and also sold to larger retailers)
