This lesser known silversmith was located in Canton, a flourishing port/city in South China. Prior to the Treaty of Nanking (1842), export trade was confined to the port of Canton.

P is an unidentified silversmith that used pseudo-English hallmarks with the letter P to mark his pieces. He is believed to have worked in Canton. All pieces observed by this maker are European in design and form.
