Maker Information:
The mark of LOCK is most likely that of Lock Hing who was "a dealer in curios, silk, ivory and bronzeware, located in Shanghai, Canton, and at 33 Queen's Road, Hong Kong" (Marlowe 54). The mug with inscription date of 1896 on Marlowe page 55 suggests a time period for this maker as early as the last quarter of the 19th century.
