HCH was located in Canton, a flourishing port/city in South China. Prior to the Treaty of Nanking (1842), export trade was confined to the port of Canton.

HCH was likely a retailer located in canton in the second and third quarter of the 19th century. Only a handful of pieces hae been observed but based on their inscriptions and shop marks we are able to determine his location and time period.
