This lesser known silversmith was located in Canton, a flourishing port/city in South China. Prior to the Treaty of Nanking (1842), export trade was confined to the port of Canton.

The mark of CJ and Co can sometimes be found as simply CJ or CJ&Co. The mark of CJ is thought to be the earlier of the 2 versions. A location for this maker has yet to be determined.
