This silversmith was located in Canton, a flourishing port/city in South China. Prior to the Treaty of Nanking (1842), export trade was confined to the port of Canton.

CC is an early 19th century maker who worked in both the English taste and Chinese taste. His mark has been observed inpseudo English form and also with Chinese character marks.
